Board of Directors, Portfolios & Responsibilities
OFFICERS & BOARD MEMBERS
PRESIDENT
Provides leadership for the society. Sets goals and presides
over the Board of Directors meetings. Responsible for the
strategic direction of the association. Main contact with
APICS HQ. Travel is required for this position.
VICE PRESIDENT
In charge of chapter development, this position is the President
Elect to replace the outgoing president. This position is
also responsible for the coordination of both the Marketing
and Membership committees. Chairs meetings in the absence
of the President. Some travel is required for this position.
SECRETARY
Responsible for the BOD meeting minutes and ensures that the
minutes are distributed through the business office.
TREASURER
The chief financial officer, this position is responsible
for the fiscal performance of the association. Preparing and
monitoring the budgets, arranging for the yearly audits, investment
of funds and preparing and reporting the monthly financial
statements.
PAST PRESIDENT
Maintains a smooth transition of position for the new President
as well as acting historian for the society.
VP EDUCATION
This position is responsible for the smooth operation of the
education program. The duties include; Liaison with the education
facility, schedule courses as per membership needs, recruiting
and coordinating with the qualified instructors. This position
works closely with the secretary in ensuring the registration,
grading and issuing of certificates and tax receipts runs
smoothly. Working with the VP Marketing and the Treasurer
to establish budgets and advertising programs.
VP COMMUNICATION
Responsible for the publication of the quarterly newsletter
and coordinating the timely update of the web page. Assist
with telephone campaigns and maintains inter-chapter and inter-association
correspondence.
VP MEMBERSHIP
Responsible for maintaining the chapter membership including
active recruitment of new members (prospective list), follow
up on non renewal members, and responding to general inquiries
of current members. Work in close cooperation with the VP
Marketing and the Exec. VP for chapter growth.
VP EVENTS
Works closely with the President and VP Marketing to establish
the list of events for the fiscal year. Arranges the venue
and coordinates the events. Determines the event budget, including
food, gifts and prizes. Coordinates the registration at the
event and is host for the event. Also responsible for the
coordinating the advertisement of the event through the business
office and VP Communications.
VP MARKETING
Responsible for the planning and execution of the association
marketing plan. Identifies prospective members, liaison with
Partner Associations for advertising opportunities, and explores
new and innovative marketing methods. Responsible for the
"Passport" binder upkeep and submission to APICS.
DIRECTORS-AT-LARGE
Industry professionals who provide knowledge & experience
to the board of directors and assist as required.
